In fact why eat seasonally at all?
Eating seasonably helps you enjoy fresh fruit, vegetables indeed all food at its seasonal best. That means better value, better taste and a better deal for the planet. Also, seasonal food is healthier for you. The nutritional quality of many fruit and vegetables degrades over time so eating a local grown vegetable that has not spent long out of the ground before arriving on your dinner plate means more vitamins but most importantly more flavour!!
Stop buying out of season Tomatoes that taste like water balls and make sure you are cooking food at its best by referring to this Seasonal food calendar.
